Little Blue Heron nibbling on fresh Florida seafood

The waterline of the Hilllsborough Bay was alive this afternoon with some of Florida's most beautiful waterbirds. This Little Blue Heron tiptoed ever so slowly until he found the perfect fresh treat on the menu. In a moment or so, it was gone. Smart bird. Nothing can beat dining on fresh Florida seafood right on the water.

  1. Boy, do I miss the Fla. Seafood. Up here it's Perch and Whitefish or Whitefish and Perch. I long for some fresh Gulf Shrimp;maybe a Grouper sandwich;broiled Dolphin. Home!

  4. I'm glad some of you like bird shots. They are a bit harder than buildings, city scenes and skys. None of them move or fly away and this guy was amazing to shoot. Maybe I need a Florida waterbird blog so these pix would have a home.

I LOVE my fried shrimp. PERCH??
